Azerbaidžan 2013: Farid Mammadov – Hold me
Re: Azerbaidžan 2013: Farid Mammadov – Hold me
^Oikeassa olet. No se onkin mielestäni maan paras viisubiisi.
Re: Azerbaidžan 2013: Farid Mammadov – Hold me

Hesarista napattu.
Azerbaidžanin presidentti epäilee euroviisuvilppiä
Azerbaidžanin presidentti Ilham Aliyev on määrännyt tutkinnan euroviisujen pisteidenlaskusta. Presidentti kummastelee, miksi hänen kotimaansa jätti Venäjän kokonaan vaille pisteitä lauantain viisufinaalissa. Asiasta uutisoi BBC.

I am so happy that we are not the winners. Otherwise, every ESC country would blame Azerbaijan on buying votes.
Färid got high points from 12 countries. How could small country buy the all votes? They are much more bigger than us. Azerbaijan got 12 points from Austria, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Russia.
Besides, Farid end up 1st in Semi-Finals. Moreover, he was also the 2nd according to Press Voting Centre. Did we buy all press too? Farid got the best artist award. I don't think that we corrupted all the Eurovision commentators.
I think he got 12 points from Lithuania, because he had promo days in there. Probably, they liked him. Also he was singing Lithuanian Eurovision song there and in Azerbaijan during castings.
Farid with Choru Karai in Lithuania:
P.S BTW, Azerbaijan only got 0 votes from some Scandinavian countries while they did give points to Denmark. Who’s rigging here? Scandinavian countries are so predictable. Finland itself always votes for Sweden and Estonia. Finnish votes are always predictable. Since introducing the semi-finals in 2004 Finland has given the most points to...

^ Most of the press was probably Eurovision fans and any fan knows that Azerbaijan will get high points, no matter what the song is. I liked this year's entry but I also know that they would have been in top5 with almost any song.

Before people was blaming Azerbaijan for having Swedish songs, but previous years and as well this year Russia and Georgia had Swedish songs too. But Swedish songs didn't help them so much as Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan has strong musical traditions since ancient times. Our first musical instruments (Gaval-Dash) dates to iron age. The petroglyphs and rock engravings in Gobustan illustrates dances that dated for 5 000-10.000 BC.
We are the first Muslim Country that had opera, ballet, classic music, circus, jazz. Our traditional music (Mugam) is under UNESCO's World Heritage. It is the most powerful voice then one can have. Professional musicians adore this kind of singing all over the world. For example, The Icelandic singer Björk complimented Alim Qasimov (Eurovisoin 2012), by naming him as her " favourite singer alive today". The fusion of Jazz and mugam made Aziza Mustafazadeh as a princess of Jazz. Her father- Vagif Mustafazadeh was a famous Jazz pianist in Azerbaijan.I n 1966, Willis Conover, conductor of the "Jazz Time" radio program, even went as far as to say, "Vagif Mustafazadeh is an extraordinary pianist. It is impossible to identify his equal. He is the most lyrical pianist I have ever known."
It was Azeri singer Muslim Magomaev that was nominated a title as a King of Songs or and the "Soviet Sinatra". There is a planetoid of the solar system in his honor, 4980 Magomaev.

Minä en rupea tähän englantia kirjoittamaan, mutta paskaahan tuo on. Suomessa on klassisen musiikin arvostus aivan jättiläisasemassa. Olen jopa kuullut, että suhteutettuna väkilukuun, Suomi on klassisen musiikin osaamisessa maailman top ykkönen. Jotenka tuota englannikielistä höpöttelyä lainatakseni, joissain maissa osataan tehdä parasta musiikkia, parasta miktotiedettä, parhaita mopoja, ja lopuissa maissa ei.Some countries are good in music, some in computer science and some in making cars
Ja englanninkieltä kirjoittavalle tiedoksi. Lainasin tälle sivulle uutisjutun Hesarista, missä Azereitten presidentti vaatii sitä että maan viisuäänten laskeminen selvitetään, koska se meni väärin hänen mielestään. Venäjällehän ne 12 pistettä piti mennä. Siinäpä merkki rehdistä maasta.

The reason why Azerbaijan didn't get any votes from Scandinavian countries is simple. It's not so easy to buy the votes from here.

However, Farid did win the Artistic Award, one of the three Marcel Bezençon Awards, given to the favourite of the commentators. Innolla kuitenkin seuraan tilannetta!
Äsken uutisissa Kuunkuiskaajat kertoivat, kuinka vuonna 2010 juuri ennen heidän semifinaalinsa alkua, jonkun maan delegaation väkeä oli tullut heille juttelemaan, että kuiskaajatyttösten tulisi vedota Suomen Juryyn, että antaisivat äänensä tälle maalle. Eikös juryt anna äänensä kenraaliharjoituksissa jo aikaisemmin?
Re: Azerbaidžan 2013: Farid Mammadov – Hold me
Kohu ylsi valtakunnalliseen uutislähetykseenkin! Haastattelussa Kuunkuiskaajan tytöt kertoi, että Oslon viisuissa jonkun maan edustaja oli pyytänyt heitä ympäripuhumaan Suomen raadin antamaan pisteitä hänelle ja hänen maansa raati sitten vastavuoroisesti Kuunkuiskaajille.

I didn't tell that we have no money. Yes, we are oil/gas-rich country . Azerbaijan is the most rapid developing country in the world. We prefer invest in our economy rather than pay and get votes from ESC countries. There is no point for that. If you like you vote if you don't you don't. This is how voting works in Eurovision. Lots of people liked our entry and voted for it. I wouldn't never vote for Denmark. Her song was overrated. She won only because of her neighboring countries. In this sense, her victory can never be compared to Loreen or Rybak. Both are truly and obvious winners. Denmark should thank its neighbors.

I like your entry but it makes me sad, if you really bought votes. I hated your entry last year and it got top 5 placing too and I can't understand it at all. Same as your win in 2011, there were so many better songs that year and I don't have clue how Running Scared got picked as winner then. I like the song though, but nobody knows if that win was bought too.
Denmark got points from every country but San Marino, so Denmark didn't win just because it's neighbours. No country can win the whole contest just by points from neighbours. Someone else needs to like the song too.

I wouldn't write about "buying" before getting the prove. The false news from Lithuanian Tv is under investigation now. As EBU stated before, those people on the screen are not even Azeries. So why they came with such statement on TV then? Who stands behind them? BTW, there live about 1000 Azeries in Lithuania or 788 according to United Nations Statistics Division (Retrieved 17 January 2012). I think if each of them would vote 10-15 times it would be enough without "paying" for those people on the video.
Also there was another scandal with Azeri votes to Russia. Our 10 points to Russia are missing. Why? Most my friends in Azerbaijan voted for Dina. But she received 0 points from us. Most my friends and me voted for Azerbaijan here (I didnt't pay them for it ) We got 0 points from Finland. Where is our votes?
I loved our entry last year! It was "a peace of art" in the music. I have classical music background, besides I love jazz and Sabina was the best vocal entry since we are in Eurovision. She sings with wide diapason and her entry created especially to exploit her highest notes (together with Alim Gasimov), reaching C6-C7. Those who like Eric Saade style of music will not get her. She is too classy. It is matter of taste. Eurovision is watched by different people with variety of tastes. Luckily, they are fans of all kind of music in Eurovision.
