I was recently playing with iMovie and pieced together some rehearsal footage + live performance of Gary Revel jr's "You're a Star" from the 2005 Turku semi-finals.  The results are far from professional with some cheesey effects & transitions, but its a fun memory and what I think is a world-class performance. 

I loved working with Gary who worked so hard on the choreography full performance which was a little bit lost in the TV presentation.

Kiva nähdä Steveniäkin pitkästä aikaa Kuppilassa. 

Garyn semifinaali oli mielestäni vuoden 2005 karsintojen kovin. 

Ja toisesta semistä porskuttivat suoraan finaaliin olemattomat Kouri ja Stenlund.

Thanks, but remember that the Turku Semi had a ton of amazing songs and artists.

who would you have left out?  Jenni?  Teddy vs McChris? Elena Mady (with the DIVINE "The Actress" that I had the pleasure to perform with her at the finals?)  Those were all great songs with lively cool performances.

Now, talking about the OTHER semi-finals that year.... yeah, I would have wanted a couple of those booted off to give Gary another chance to shine, but oh well.

Big Hugs to my friends!  Sorry I am not writing in Finnish and for not hanging out here more.  Hope I get another chance to write for Finland ESC.  Kyiv was one of my most treasured experiences.
